Carn Wheeler Classic Road Race

The Carn Wheeler’s Classic road race will take place this year on 20th March at 1pm

As per previous years, there will be an A race (for A1, A2 and A3 riders), a B race (for A4 riders), plus a masters and ladies race.

Each race will follow a number of laps as below and will be all left turns, until the last lap where each race will turn right for the final short drag into the finish in Maghera.  In the interests of safety each race will be limited to a field of 70 riders with a reserve list in operation when the race is full.

A Race (A1,A2 & A3)           4 laps     56 miles

B Race   (A4)                         3 laps     42 miles

Masters/Ladies Race             2 laps     28 miles

The A & B races require online entry but the Masters & Ladies race can be entered on the day. The entry fee for all races is £15.00.

Online entry will be via Entry Central, and will be live from 7.30pm on 3rd March until 18^th March.

Sign-on on race day will be at the Maghera Leisure Centre.  Sign-on opens at 11:00 and closes at 12:30 with all riders to be ready for the 1pm start. The race start is a short distance away from the Leisure Centre so riders should allow time to make their way to the start line.

All riders must wear the appropriate safety helmet and have the appropriate level of insurance which can be purchased on the day if necessary.

Ample parking is available at Maghera Leisure Centre with refreshments after the race.

The 1st Club TT of 2016 kicks of with this little 5 miler.  

Would it be wrong to say its a "Fun TT" :-)

Youth are also invited to take part in this event

Sign on from 6pm in the middle of Tobermore (outside JB Tyres old premises), with 1st rider off at 6:30 sharp.
