Successful Summer in Belgium for Marc Heaney
Marc Heaney returned to us safe from his month of August in Belgium, racing, as part of the Belgian Project. Well done Marc, you are a credit to your family and club.
Ulster Youth Road Race and TT Championships
The 2015 Ulster Youth Road Race and Time Trial Championships were hosted by Omagh Wheelers. Our club was represented by Sarah Elder, who came third in her TT, plus Cathir Doyle who took 3rd in both his road and TT races.
Ulster MTB Championships
There was a fantastic representation from the Carn Wheelers at this meeting at the Colebrooke Estate, and lots of medals on display when the racing was over.
Eimer
Skeely took top podium place in the U10s.
Travis Harkness was second and Curtis Neil fourth in the U12s.
Katie Neill and Eva Gordon were numbers 1 and 2 in the U12 females.
Ryan Skelly picked up third place in the U12 boys race.
Sarah Elder was second in the U14 girls race.
Andrew Gordon was third in the U14 boys.
Niamh Skelly and Emma Elder who took the top podium places in the U16 category.
In the S4 race, Darryl Mullan just missed out on a podioum place, finishing in
fourth.
In the Masters M40 category, Graeme Elliot did well, just missing out on a top 10 finish.
In the Masters M30 category, Tomas McElwee took sixth, ahead of Nigel Gibson
and Darren Mulholland.
In the Junior male race, Sean Bradley finished in second place.
Well done to all.
Cathir Doyle in the Medals on the Track
Well done to Cathir who got one Gold and two Bronze medals riding for the Ulster team in the interprovincials All Ireland track finals in Orangefield track in Belfast.
Next stop for Cathir is the National Youth Cycling Championships in Westport -- good luck Cathir.
Marc Heaney Representing Ulster in Wales
