Sunday Leisure Cycle 26th April 2015
A bright crisp morning, with the frost only just having melted, as we met at the rec for our Sunday cycle.
There was a charity fundraising event being run by Copeland, Cookstown (in aid of the The Hub, Cookstown) that many of the group were keen to support, so we headed off for Cookstown. There we were met by some more Carn folk who had made their own way over. The Copeland team had also laid on some lovely pre-run tasties, plus tea and coffee.
There was a choice of routes, with everyone taking the same road as far as Stewartstown. There, the Carn folk spilt into 3 groups -- some wanting to do the big 40 miler course back to Cookstown, some doing the 20 miler back to Cookstown, and the rest taking a direct route back to Maghera.
A good days cycling had by all. Well done to Copeland for, again, running a fantastic event in aid of a good cause.
Well done to all.
