Sorry about the date posted previously in respect of the Orra TT (Ballymoney CC) but the date clashes with the interclub league and will be rescheduled to a later date. We will keep you posted.

We at Ballymoney CC would like to invite any of your members along to our very special "Orra" Mountain Classic Time Trial (Loughguile) on the 11 of May. This TT was ran for the very first time last year it is our most anticipated TT of the year.

Why might you ask? Well it is one for the brave, the tough and the strong willed. At approx 18 miles in length it involves considerable climbing effort. Right from the start you are launched into an approximate 7 mile climb to the summit of Orra, followed by about 7 miles of lumpy road and then the very fast descent back to the finish line. The scenery is spectacular if you can take the time to enjoy scenery while in the saddle or more likely out of the saddle. Times last year ranged from an incredible 49 minutes to just over 1 hour. There is a real sense of achievement after this one and you will certainly not forget the suffering for a day or two.

So the question remains are you brave enough for the challenge ahead.

Entry fee is 3 Pounds and the start is in Loughguile just outside Cloughmills. If there is one time trial you don’t want to miss this is it. More details can be found on the Ballymoney Web site closer to the time and on the message board.
