Thanks for a great day today at TOSD.  Loadza hills, but still very enjoyable.  Thanks to the ladies for the grub at O'Donovan Rossa's GAA Club afterwards.

Sunday 3 October 2010 sees the start of the Ulster Cyclo-Cross Series with the first of six rounds being held at Lurgan Park and hosted by Apollo CT. This venue will also be used in January for the Irish Championships hosted by three local clubs, Banbridge CC, Apollo CT and Dromara CC.

Sign on will open at 9:30 with the first races start at 10:30 for the Under 8s. There are also races for the Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s and Under 16s as well as a mountain bike support race. The main cyclo-cross race will begin at 1pm and is likely to attract riders from across Ireland to this excellent venue (no MTB bikes in the cyclo-cross race).

Cyclo-cross venues are suitable for all levels of riders as the off-road course is flat with few obstacles which makes for a great racing circuit. Adult races last approximately one hour.

Race fees:
U8, U10, U12 (£2/€2)
U14, U16 (£5/€5)
Over 16s (£10/€10)

Start times:
10:30 - Under 8s
10:50 - Under 10s
11:05 - Under 12s
11:30 - Under 16s, MTB support race, Under 14s
13:00 - Cyclo-cross race (16+)

The Ulster cyclo-cross series has its own dedicated website for information and reports, see www.ulstercyclocross.com

Pre-registration:
In order to help with the administration on the day riders are asked to pre-register. See links in the website above.
